An Unforgettable Moments in Turkey

Hello guys! whats up? ahay this time would love to share my (amazing) experience ever in Turkey. Well this trip was the funnest and memorable for me. uhm why is that? okay,

1. finally my dream came true to visit Turkey. Like since I was at high school, I am in love with Turkey and someday i should be there and i did it!

2. this trip was the most far i've ever been, you know from Indonesia to Turkey took about 15 hours including 1 transit.

3. this journey wasnt only about traveling but also doing social activities. Yup! i was an exchange participant at AIESEC Eskisehir, Turkey for Meet My Friends 2014.

4. not only that, i also made this moment as meeting my online friends! yes and i made it! i made some friends i knew online there and they were amazing!

sstt.. lets find out what i have done in Turkey yaa..

1. from Jakarta to Doha to Istanbul wow long trip yes! and finally we arrived at Istanbul Airport, I forget the name of it hehe. and yes the President of my project already been there and waiting for us! not only that, other participants from China, Brazil, Malaysia, etc also there. we gathered at one place, Airport! after all the participants show up, then cusss we go outside to have some breakfast. and it was pretty cold! I'm from tropical country and first time  I go outside, it was freezing!! couldnt even move my legs hahaha

First Breakfast in Istanbul yes!
Because we just had breakfast in Istanbul while we waited our bus to Eskisehir, so we didnt have time a lot in Istanbul at first.

2. yeayy finally arrived at Eskisehir! and this city was colder than Istanbul, oh God help me! but during the activities, I get used to with cold weather. I mean who doesnt like walking around the city without getting sweat?! this is why the first time I fell in love with cold weather haha. In Eskisehir, before we started our project we did some fun first, well anyway during the project we also had fun haha

Thank God the bridge didnt fell down
Hello from MMF'14
Eskisehir at Day

ahh in love with Eskisehir at night :)
3. During the project, we divided into some groups. Our project was teaching English to high school students. And I got the funniest, happiest, partners ever! There is Media from Syria, Juliana from Brazil, anddddd Nicky from Czech Republic! all those girls are crazy and insane! we have teaching at Prof. Orhan Oguz Anadolu Lisesi. What I shocked the most about the education system in Turkey is that they have rest for 5 minutes after lesson was going about 30 minutes, also the new program from Turkish Government that all the students got their own tablet for studying. Isn't that WOW?! feels like I would turn back our youth and move to Turkish school haha. On duty we delightfully presented about our each country and its culture. Because Indonesia, I mean Indonesian people love spicy food, I brought Bon Cabe and Keripik Sanjai there, and asked the students to taste it. Their expression? incredible!! They got red and hot face ahahha oops sorry students, I should tell this on my blog. And once, my friend from Indonesia also brought Indomie goreng and cooked our Brazilian friends and you know what they said? "Are you crazy? this is very hot! are you going to kill me?" and I was like hahahaha cant believe they dont like regular indomie gorewwwnnngggg haha. Ahh not only that, after the project finished we should make a video with the students. you can check our group video here babyy.. Happy in Eskisehir

OMG I'm explaining Global Warming!

4. Hmm did I mention where did I stay? I stayed with local citizen there, named MUSTAFA ANIL SIRIN! THE BEST HOST EVER ON EARTH! hahaha seriously, he is so funny and entertaining! I stayed with one of participant from China too, named Rita. Hi Ritaaaaaaa, I miss you more than I miss Anil! haha. We both are the most amazing girls he had lol like I swear, if I didnt meet him, my life in Turkey would be a mess haha. Once at night, me and Anil was having karaoke at apartment. We sang like crazy and shouting each other but then someone ring the bell and asked to be quiet because there was grandma in the next door ssttt... and we suddenly shut up and go to sleep haha. Also one of the best moment I had with him was I messed his kitchen! the washing machine was our of order and made the kitchen getting flood by its water. Not only that, because he didnt use to live with girls, the bathroom pipe was full of our hair! oops sorry papa Anil, we made your flat messed up haha. And and and this is the most important one, I didnt know Anil had roommate! and when he came, oh my God, he looks like an Angel! Blue eyes, very tall, and lil but chubby awww it made me nervous to get closer with him haha. oh anyway his name is Onur. hi Onur, I miss you more than I miss Anil!

5. Oh hmm again, did I mention that we didnt only teach but also traveling every weekend? yes we did! we've been to Ankara, the capital city. we went there together by train. In Ankara, we visited Anitkabir and Ankara Alesi. Also a mini theme park to refresh our brain! and next week, we went to Denizli and Izmir. It was so so so cold! in Izmir, we visited the clock tower, Sirince (House of wine), Saint Marry's house at Bulbuldagi, and also Ephesus, an ancient Greek city. It was very very beautiful and amazing. I didnt know that the history was as big as its real! next day after we stayed in Izmir, we went to Pamukkale, Denizli. Aaaa finally I visited the place where Candince Swanepoel took photoshoot. Pamukkale is really amazing, it's warm and cold at the same time. Too bad, I didnt go to Bursa to playing ski cause of I was out of money. I was really sad at that time, but its ok! someday I would go back again
we just arrived in Ankara baby!!

Feel the burnnnnnn, Ankara!

Snap out of it!

Hello from Pamukkaleeeee

God, we are so tired after hiking to Pamukkale

6. Okay, so after I told you we traveled around Turkey, we still have mandatory job to do in Eskisehir. Not only teaching, but we should presented our each cultures for people in Eskisehir. Yesss its a tradition from AIESEC that we made GLOBAL VILLAGE,!! You can ask many participants about their culture or anything about their country, if you wanna flirt too its okay also but make sure you have to be class to flirt with hahaha I'm joking. So what I brought at Global Village? hmm there are 3 Indonesians in AIESEC Eskisehir, me, Terry, and Helsa. We both combining what we brought such as the masks, Wedang Ronde, Bon Cabe, Batik, Keripik Sanjai, Permen Kopiko, Gantungan Kunci Komodo, Wayang, Blangkon, and many mooooooooooreee. And Turkish people got excited with what we brought, too bad we didnt wear Kebaya because you know its difficult to wear it. After we showed and we presented our own cultures, we started dance dance dance and danceeeee to AIESEC role dance. We all from the world joining together to dance like really cool in front of thousand people at Mall. Hmm who cares, no one knows me in Turkey that I cant dance, soo yeahh haha

7. Did I mention that this trip is more than a trip for me? Well it was not about doing social project with various people around the world but also to meet my pen pal! hey hey nothing is more amazing than meeting your pen pal real in life, yes?! and yeah that was what I had when I was in Turkey. First, I met Aylin, she is a friend of my friend that I knew online. Confuse? no dont be. I met her in AIESEC Office, she came to meet me there! what a great friend she is! and then finally I met my friend who is Aylin's friend also, the only smartest hocam Altan! they both are very friendly and welcome me so well. Until now cant believe I met them in my life. During in Eskisehir, we did a lot of times but too bad I just had 2 months there and couldnt spend more time with them. After the project was done, I go back to Istanbul. I didnt have much money tho to rent hotel haha I was so poor at that time cause I shopped much. But dont worry, I have a friend from Istanbul! yes an online friend again ahaha his name is Eren! like seriously, his family welcome us very very very well! I just had one more day left to spend all around the city, so yea Eren gave us his company to sight seeing around Istanbul. He is very very very kind, I miss him. I miss them! We visited Kadikoy, Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, Galata Tower, Grand Bazaar, and Musem. I forget the name of  Museum and it was too bad we didnt visit Topkapi Palace because it was still under renovation. And the time has arrived, we should go back to our reality, we go back to Jakarta with transit in Doha like 9 hours.
